How the UK’s new Jetliner fares are going to look like

Brains are being made of different materials.

But if you are one of the hundreds of thousands of UK citizens flying out of Heathrow Airport, you are unlikely to find any of them looking like the image below.

Instead, the new Boeing 737 Max, which is due to be launched on the UK public market on the 19th of April, will be made of composite materials. 

The company, based in the US, said it had been working on the new jetliner since January and had developed composite materials for the past five years.

“Boeing has been the industry leader for composite composite materials, particularly for jet aircraft and the aircraft itself,” said a spokesman for the firm.

“The new composite plane is a result of extensive research and development and has an outstanding level of innovation.” 

The 737 Max is made of carbon-fibre composite, the same material that was used in the first jetliner to fly from Heathrow to New York, in 1997. 

“Composite is the most versatile material in the aviation industry and is ideal for aerospace, maritime, defense and government,” said the spokesman. 

Boeings composite composite material is made up of layers of carbon, titanium and carbon nanotubes. 

Its lightweightness and rigidity makes it suitable for transport, air conditioning, cooling, and air ducts. 

But the company has been working to improve its manufacturing processes, and is working on new composite materials in its own facilities.

“It has been a great experience to work with Boeing and its engineers in developing a new composite material for our new 737 Max,” said Michael Hoggart, chief operating officer of Heathfield, the company’s base in Lancashire. 

He added that the new plane would be a major step up from its predecessor, the 777. 

 “Our first Boeing aircrafts engines and fuel are made of a composite material called jet carbon. 

That composite material has been used on aircrafts for more than 50 years and was used extensively on the Boeing 787, 767 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft,” he said.

“This composite material, the one we are introducing to the new 737 MAX, has been one of our key suppliers.” 

Bild newspaper, a leading German business daily, said the new composite composite plane was the first of its kind in aviation.

“A Boeing jet airliner can be made from carbon composites, with an overall weight of 1.1 metric tons, and can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in just over a minute,” it said. 

Other aerospace companies have been making composites for their aircrafts since the late 1960s.

“The biggest challenge to aviation composites was the amount of energy needed to make it,” said John Smith, a consultant for aerospace and defense company Northrop Grumman.

 “There is still a lot of research and innovation going on in the area of composite manufacturing, and we’re very pleased to be the first to bring this technology to life.”

The composite materials used on the 737 Max will be used for its wings, fuselage and tail sections. 

They are made from the lightweight carbon composite of carbon nanotechnology, or carbon nanofibers, which are lightweight and flexible, and have been used in aviation since the 1960s, said Smith.

The plane is expected to carry out more than 500 flights a year, compared with the 737, which can only fly between 60 and 85.

Boeiers jet airliner is expected, at around £180 million, to make about 3,000 passengers, and more than 1,000,000 pounds of cargo, with fuel capacity for a flight of more than 250 hours. 

A spokeswoman for the airline said: “The aircraft is the result of a year of intensive research and testing, which has resulted in a very safe and efficient aircraft with excellent handling characteristics.”
